Devens Eco-Efficiency Center 2013 Annual Report In 2013 this six-year-old non-profit hosted ten educational forums, supported a major energy audit at a manufacturing firm, facilitated the evaluation of 18 new waste reduction programs and the implementation of 12 of these, and enabled the repurposing of 72 tons of materials that otherwise would have been treated as trash. These initiatives benefited 58 establishments from Devens and nine surrounding towns. This Annual Report provides highlights of how the Center promotes sustainable business and development practices and the benefits of its programs and services.

Devens Sustainable Indicators Report Identifies Progress and Opportunities for Efficiency, Sustainability in Redevelopment In 2000, the DEC released a report that evaluated the progress Devens had made toward its ReUse Plan goal of Sustainable Redevelopment. In 2012 the DEC, with the assistance of the University of Massachusetts, conducted a follow-up study to re-evaluate the current level of progress. Results of the study will be used as a tool to direct current and future programming efforts and ensure the programs and services of MassDevelopment, the DEC and the Devens Eco-Efficiency Center continue to further the goal of Sustainable Redevelopment within the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone.
