Services

The EcoStar program offers technical workshops on various areas related to the EcoStar standards.  These workshops provide a good opportunity for basic training and support for your coordinator and team members.  Each workshop includes an opportunity for networking with EcoStar members, so you can learn how other companies and organizations are implementing the standards.”- EcoStar Standard 4 Employee Training and Involvement in EcoStar, Page 27, EcoStar Action Guide.

The drop-off center allows Devens residents, businesses and employees as well as other local businesses and residents to dispose of a wide variety of items in a timely manner and at a low cost. 

Recycling Drop Off 
(open to Devens and surrounding communities):
Plastics, Glass, Paper, Corrugated, Cans and Clothes: 
NO COST! - Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Containers are for acceptable recyclables only:
Acceptable plastics includes any #1 through #7 plastics
Acceptable glass includes any rinsed glass item except dishware, window, door or auto glass.
Acceptable paper includes computer printer or copier paper (white or colored), envelopes (with or without windows), stationary, loose leaf (any color), folders (no metal or plastic tabs), Brochures / pamphlets (coated or uncoated paper, stapled or folded), newspapers and magazines
Acceptable corrugated includes any corrugated cardboard container
Acceptable cans includes any rinsed tin or aluminum cans
Acceptable clothes includes any garment
The drop-off containers for these items are located, in the front parking lot at 99 Buena Vista Street.

Metal, Electronic and Appliance Recycling Drop Off Facility:
(open to Devens residents and businesses only)
Open Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
No trash, bulky, yard or hazardous waste will be accepted. Contact the DPW for contractor referrals for these items.
An appointment is required for drop-off of more than five items / car load.

The fees have been set to be affordable for all and to help subsidize a portion of the administrative and disposal cost.  Fees subject to change based on disposal cost  All vehicles must check-in at the DPW reception desk.
